Aaron Brian Snipes

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, Aaron Brian Snipes, who left us on January 1, 2025. He was 36 years old.

Snipes, as he was fondly called by friends and family, was born on January 30th 1988 to Gaysha Cantrell and Chris Washington in Fletcher, NC. He grew up in Hendersonville, where he attended and graduated from Hendersonville High School where he was well known for his football skills as number 72. He was baptized at Bat Cave Baptist Church.

Aaron always made time for his family and friends. He was a loving and caring brother who was always there for his siblings whenever they needed him. He had a great sense of humor and always knew how to put a smile on everyone’s face.

In his free time, Aaron enjoyed playing Madden games and having lively conversations about all things football and basketball, and he was always eager to share his knowledge and experiences with others.

Aaron is survived by his parents Gaysha and Andrew Snipes, Jr., siblings Gayla Snipes, Andrew Snipes, III, and Victoria Snipes, grandparents Kitty Cantrell, Andrew, Sr., and Gwen Snipes, aunt Chevonda Cantrell, and cousins Chevaria Williams and De’varon Williams. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Aaron will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Speak Life Community Church (400 1st Ave. W., Hendersonville, NC 28739), at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Cashapp $shewolf24682, or to P.O. Box 394, Fletcher, NC, 28732.
