Born on May 28, 1990, Aaron Jordan Allen of Asheville passed away unexpectedly on September 19th at the age of 32.
Jordan attended Asheville High School, where he participated in ROTC. He experienced a life-changing incident in 2009, being struck by a vehicle, which left him with a traumatic brain injury. Despite his injuries, Jordan was determined to live his life to its highest potential. He never knew a stranger, and had a loving, larger-than-life personality that was infectious to others.
Jordan was preceded in death by brother Tristan Neco Markell Allen, and paternal grandfather Charles J. Allen, II.
He is survived by his mother Tracee Diona Workman (Eric Penland), Father Charles J. Allen, III, siblings Ka’Neco, Torri-Yiona, CJ, Alex, Keeara, and Morissa, special bond with Lil’ Eric, maternal grandparents Vicki Widemon (Reggie), Anthony Workman (Joyce), paternal grandparents Mary Collins (William), as well as many relatives and friends.
A Funeral Service to honor the life of Aaron Jordan Allen will be held at Nazareth First Baptist Church (146 Pine St) on Tuesday, September 27th at 2pm. He will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral. Viewing will be held Monday from 1pm till 7pm at Avery's Memorial Chapel. The service will be live streamed on Avery's Memorial Chapel's Facebook page.
