Will Douglas Reeves, Jr. “June Bug”, 67 of Black Mountain, North Carolina, died suddenly at his home on Monday, October 22, 2018.
Will was born January 1, 1951, in Black Mountain, NC and was a lifelong area resident. He graduated from C.D. Owens High School and Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College. Will was retired from Reliant Electric Company and was a Veteran of the United States Army and was honorably discharged after several years of dedicated service.
Will is preceded in death by his mother and father, Mattie and Will Reeves Sr., brother, Walter Lee Reeves, sister Dura Patterson, brother, James Arthur Reeves, sister, Sonya Hardy and life long friend, Mike Carson.
He is survived by his son, William Douglas Reeves (Kenyetta) of Killeen,Texas, his sister, Effie Mae Simpson of Black Mountain, who is the only surviving sibling and a host of nieces and nephews, as well as other loving family and friends.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Will B. Reeves, Jr. of Black Mountain will be held Wednesday, October 31st at 11 am, at Brown Temple CME Church on 32 Phifer St. in Asheville.
