Michael Hawthorne

Michael Hawthorne 63, passed away June 3, 2019. A lifelong resident of Asheville, Michael was born October 6,1955 to the late Lucille “Polly” Hawthorne and Matthew Hawthorne Sr.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Willie Hawthorne and Matthew Hawthorne Jr.

Michael was a hard worker and loved his family. He was very giving and would always make you laugh. He will be missed dearly.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Michael Hawthorne Jr., sisters; Hadiyah Saleem (Lincoln), Henrietta Hawthorne, and Joyce Hawthorne, sister in-law Mary C. Hawthorne, brother Anthony Hawthorne all of Asheville, special niece Neesha Woods, as well as a largehosts of special nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Hawthorne will be held Monday June 10 at 12pm, at Brown Temple CME Church located on 32 Phifer St.
