Janie Mae Edgerton

Mrs. Janie Edgerton died surrounded by her family on July 4, 2018 at her home. She was born on November 22, 1952. She is the daughter of late Sally and Vernon Edgerton. 

Janie graduated from R. L. Central in 1971. She loved to cook and spend time with her family. She always made sure her family was taken care of.

In addition to her parents Janie was preceded in death by her daughter, Keeva Edgerton and her pastor, Pastor Theodore Smith. Left to cherish her memory are her son, MaJuster Owens (Felicia) of Greensboro, NC, daughter, Kienandra Owens of Greenville,SC, son, Edmund Owens, daughters; Neena Edgerton, Keena Edgerton, all of Asheville, sisters; Loraine Edgerton of Asheville, Ophela Edgerton of Lake Lure NC, brothers; Monroe Edgerton and Roy Edgerton both of Asheville. 

Janie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

The funeral service for Mrs. Edgerton will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Hill Street Baptist Church at 2:00 pm. There will be a viewing 1 hour prior to the service.
