Edward Arthur Burt III “Peeka”, “Little Buddy”, 53, died peacefully on July 29, 2018 at Park Ridge Hospital in Hendersonville. He was born on August 20, 1964 in Asheville, NC to Edward Burt, Jr. and Doretha Burt and is a graduate of Asheville High School.
Edward was employed for 23 years with Apple Tree Honda-Acura. He was a member of the Gold Master Council of Sales. Edward was a top selling salesman and won many awards.
Edward was a hard-working, trusted, faithful and dedicated member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church for many years, where he was a deacon, president of the Welcoming Committee, member of the Usher Board, Security Team, Prison Ministry and Church Transportation Team.
Edward was a Godly man, friend to all, people person, he loved God and his family, especially his mother, sisters and children. He never met a stranger. His hobby was weight lifting (He was also a personal trainer).
He was preceded in death by his sister, Lorraine Burt.
He is survived by his father, Edward Arthur Burt, Jr. (Pamela), mother, Doretha Burt, sisters; Mary Burt and Melissa Burt, step-brothers; Jonathan Camp and Daniel Camp, children; Monika Gaines, Edward A. Burt IV, Daron Kincaid, Ebony Burt, Tearey Stepp, Ricca Ray, and Carrington Burt, special friend, Loretta Smith, special grand-daughter, Marley, eleven grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Services for Mr. Burt will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 1:00pm at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 47 Eagle Street Asheville, NC 28801. Viewing will be held one hour prior to service. Dr. John Grant will be officiating. Burial immediately following at Violet Hill Cemetery.
