Alice Jean Moore Johnson, a mama to some, a Granny to some, and a saint to all, went home to be with the LORD on Monday April 8, 2019. She was one of kind who cared for her family, and others as though they were family. She was the backbone of the family who was always there through thick and thin. Alice chose to see the best in people, and always opened her arms to those in need. If you needed an ear, she was there to listen. She was a joy to those who loved her.
She loved sewing, adult coloring books, and playing Farm Heroes on her smart phone. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids whom she loved dearly, and they affectionately called her "Nana."
Alice was preceded in death by her mother Darcus Moore, father Albert Moore, Jr., brother James Moore, and best friend Alice. Left to cherish her memory is her husband Robert Johnson, children, Jannie Moore, Joe Jackson, and James Plummer, brother John Allen Moore, aunts Ruth Sweptson and Joyce Pertiller, 16 grandkids, Michael, Donteze and, Dorcella whom she raised, and a host of other cousins, relatives and friends.
She will be lovingly remembered during a private family gathering at a later time.
